0.5 tspTicaloid Powder

1 stickCinnamon Stick

1 wholeOrange Zest
zest of 1 orange
Instructions
Combine the pitted dates, Demerara sugar, water, Ticaloid powder, cinnamon stick, and orange zest in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat and simmer for 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a clean bottle. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
