The short version

Bitters is a cocktail recipe platform. Use it to discover, create, and share cocktail recipes. Be respectful, don't abuse the service, and your content belongs to you.

Accepting these terms

By using Bitters — the mobile app, website, or API — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your account

You can browse Bitters without an account. To create recipes, collections, or follow other users, you need to register. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person, please.

Your content

Recipes, collections, images, and other content you create on Bitters remain yours. By posting content, you grant Bitters a license to display, distribute, and promote it within the platform — for example, showing your recipe in search results or featuring it on the homepage.

You can delete your content at any time, and we'll remove it from the platform.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal
• Post content that is abusive, harassing, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
• Scrape or bulk-download content from the platform
• Use automated tools to interact with the service in ways that degrade the experience for others
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

AI features

Bitters uses AI to parse recipes from text or photos and to generate cocktail images. AI-generated content may not always be accurate — you're responsible for reviewing and editing any content created with AI assistance before publishing it.

Availability

We do our best to keep Bitters running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

Bitters is a recipe platform, not a medical or professional service. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to the accuracy of recipes, ingredient information, or AI-generated content. Drink responsibly.

Termination

You can stop using Bitters and delete your account at any time. We may also terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
