Sorrel Tea

4.5 ozDried Butterfly Pea Flowers

Instructions
Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil with cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, bay leaf, and nutmeg to taste. Add optional ginger and/or orange slices if desired. Stir for 1 minute, then cover and reduce to a simmer for 30 minutes. Add the dried sorrel and sugar, then continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes until the liquid is bright red and opaque. Remove from heat, strain, and allow to cool before use.
