Ingredients

  • 2 oz
    Gin
  • 0.75 oz
    Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz

    Cherry

    Cocktail cherry, sunk to the bottom of the coupe

  • 2 dashes
    Aromatic

    Angostura bitters, floated on top

Instructions

Combine gin, lemon juice, and rich orgeat in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Drop a cocktail cherry to the bottom of the glass, then dash Angostura bitters across the surface.

A house riff on the classic Army & Navy cocktail served at Dutch Kills in Queens, honoring a longtime regular FDNY firefighter. Bright and nutty with a lemon orgeat sour backbone, finished with a sunken cocktail cherry and a float of Angostura bitters.
